According to the table (Okaz obtained a copy of it), the violations are referred to the competent court, and the Public Prosecution Office undertakes the investigation and prosecution. The committees examining violations also impose penalties whose fine does not exceed 10 million riyals, or which include suspending the license or permit for a period of no more than exceed 6 months or cancel the license.
According to the system, the competent authority responsible for waste management is responsible for controlling violations and imposing penalties on waste producers licensed by the competent authority in accordance with the rules and regulations and estimating fines and procedural penalties for these violations. The competent authorities include the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (municipal solid waste management operationally), the Ministry of Health ( Management of health care waste operationally), the Ministry of Industry (management of industrial waste operationally) and the like. The system estimated the violation of transporting or managing hazardous waste contrary to the license issued by the center, violating the minimum limit of 1,000,000 and the maximum limit of 10,000,000 riyals, and canceling the license or permit. The system also set a penalty for excavating waste containers, scattering their contents, and extracting recyclable waste for individuals, with a fine of 1,000 riyals and a maximum limit of 10,000. The fine for not removing demolition and construction waste resulting from restoration, construction or demolition work for individuals is 5,000 riyals, the minimum and the maximum limit is 20,000 riyals.
A fine for the disposal of residential waste of large sizes, such as mattresses, pieces of furniture, and the like, in places not designated for them and at times not designated for areas for individuals: 500 minimum, and the maximum penalty is 1,000 riyals, and a fine for waste disposal in torrents, valleys, wells, beaches, or in networks Sanitary sewage or rainwater drainage networks, the penalty for individuals is 500, and the maximum is 20,000, and the penalty for establishments is 100,000 minimum and 1,000,000 maximum.
The fine for individuals throwing waste while walking or through the windows of vehicles or buildings for individuals is 200 riyals for the minimum and 1000 riyals for the maximum.
