Governor of Cusco: “[Dina Boluarte] You must apologize for announcing that you would stay until 2026.”

After the protests registered in Apurímac and Arequipa, where six citizens perished, the regional governor of Cusco and president of the National Assembly of Regional Governments spoke, Jean Paul Benavente Garciaand made a call to the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte.

“Now Mr. Castillo is a former president and he has to follow due process and, on the other hand, our current president, due to a succession issue, has to give a message to the country, first apologizing for the mistake of announcing that she would stay until 2026 and, on the other hand, announcing a clear commitment to Congress to be able to channel the early elections”, said the governor.
