Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said that the government is taking clear steps to confront the rise in prices.
He added, at the cabinet meeting, today, Wednesday: “I issued clear assignments to all oversight agencies to agree on a specific deadline that will be announced, following which periodic traffic will take place, and to deal immediately with any outlet – such as retailers and shops – that does not adhere to announcing commodity prices, or exaggerates.” In their prices, as well as those who hoard commodities, or hide them from the citizens, by closing the sales outlet and confiscating the commodities that he offers, and reselling them for the benefit of the citizens.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister demanded the importance of ministers and officials immediately commenting and clarifying to public opinion and the media on any issue raised on the scene that captures the attention of citizens, and making available data and information to respond, in a way that contributes to preventing confusion, stressing the continuous coordination between the various Ministries and concerned authorities with regard to these files.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of moving in a number of files related to vital sectors in the medium term, noting that among those files is related to providing the required fodder for the poultry industry, in support of this important industry, reaffirming the importance of preparing a strategic plan to localize the feed industry in Egypt. In an effort to provide various needs locally, by expanding the cultivation of soybeans and corn, in addition to establishing more factories for feed concentrates.
