On December 13, local time, Apple began distributing the official version of “watchOS 9.2” to general users. Apple Watch Series 3 and later Apple Watches can be updated.
Official version “watchOS 9.2” distribution started for general users
“watchOS 9.1” will allow the Noise app to indicate that ambient sound levels have been reduced when using AirPods Pro (1st gen) and AirPods Max, as well as a new custom kickboxing algorithm in the Workout app. New features such as improved accuracy have been added.

watchOS 9.2 includes the following new features, enhancements and bug fixes:
• Race courses can be used to compete once morest previous performances in outdoor running, cycling, and outdoor wheelchair workouts
• New custom kickboxing algorithm in the Workout App improves metric accuracy
• Available with the Noise app that indicates reduced ambient sound levels when using noise-cancelling enabled AirPods Pro (1st gen) and AirPods Max
• Invite users with Family Sharing settings to the Home app so they can control HomePod speakers and smart home accessories, and unlock doors with the home key in Wallet.
• Accessibility support to provide visibility when the Apple Watch Ultra’s siren is active
• Improved response time and accuracy for hand gesture control of AssistiveTouch and Quick Actions
• Optimized collision detection for Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
• Fixed a bug where the watch time was displayed incorrectly immediately following disarming the alarm in “Sleep” focus mode
• Fixed a bug that interrupted mindfulness sessions

“watchOS 9.2” supports Apple Watch following Apple Watch Series 4 released in 2018.

In addition, since Apple Watch must be linked with an iPhone, an iPhone with “iOS 16” or later installed is required to use “watchOS 9.1”. The following devices can be installed.
