Venezuelan sentenced to maximum penalty for raping a girl in Peru

The victim’s father denounced the man known as “El Morocho”, who was presented at the Puerto Pizarro police station.

Peruvian authorities sentenced a Venezuelan to life imprisonment in the border department of Tumbes for raping a five-year-old girl, also a Venezuelan.

The victim’s father denounced Roberto Eulogio Sánchez Coronel, alias Morocho, before the Puerto Pizarro police station for abusing the minor, reported Diario Correo.

A Peruvian police officer carried out patrols in that town and caught the alleged attacker, who was transferred to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri).

In that department, the respective procedures were carried out and the Peruvian Public Ministry was notified to start the preliminary investigation.

As a result of the investigations, the Prosecutor’s Office requested the maximum sentence once morest Roberto Eulogio Sánchez Coronel.

The final decision was made by the Supraprovincial Collegiate Criminal Court of Tumbes, made up of magistrates Edgar Adriano Izquierdo Ruiz, Juan Carlos Valdiviezo Gonzáles and Richard Omar Rueda Olivos.

All of them unanimously decided to grant life imprisonment to Sánchez Coronel as the author of the crime once morest sexual freedom in the form of rape of a minor, to the detriment of the five-year-old girl.
