Giannis Antetokounmpo van Serge Ibaka en plein podcast

Serge Ibaka’s podcast, mixing cuisine and the NBA with the best players in the League, is one of the essentials of the NBA sphere. In the last episode, it was Jrue Holiday, leader of the Bucks and Serge’s teammate, who lent himself to the game. The two friends took the opportunity to make a quick phone call to Giannis Antetokounmpo, for a memorable scene.

Seated around a tea, Jrue Holiday (still with a headband on his forehead) and Serge Ibaka (in full chef’s outfit) already offer us an incredible photo. And when in the middle of their interview, the two deer decide to call their franchise player, it necessarily gives reason to comment:

“You are not a chef, you are not an artist. You’re a role player, and a rebounder, and a screener. This is what you are.” Giannis Antetokounmpo to Serge Ibaka

If we didn’t have the context of the quote, we might worry regarding the relationship between the two interiors of Wisconsin. But here, the atmosphere is fun between the Mafuzzy Chef and the Greek Freak. Good to know suddenly: in the Bucks locker room, the valves are in order and the real bullets. And hearing the Chef answer Giannis “I’ll catch you tomorrow”, we would give a lot to infiltrate the next training of the Bucks and see if the two friends face off in 1v1.

“A role player, a rebounder and a screen setter”, somewhere he is right Giannis… if we only talk regarding today’s Ibaka (33 years old). But let’s not forget that the amigo Sergio is the best blocker of the 2010 decade with 1,626 blocks, that he represented both a very good hoop protector in his prime but also a really not yucky interior shooter, all this while bringing an athletic dimension to the team in which he played (Thunder and Raptors in particular).

FYI, Serge Ibaka is currently playing his 14th season in the NBA. Native of Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo, Serge is French-speaking, but went through the national team… of Spain. Artist in his spare time, the former interior of the Thunder of the great era (with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden) released an album where we find featurings with Tayc and Ninho in particular. But he also has a passion for cookinggiving birth to this podcast and its famous catchphrase: “I don’t cook, I design the food.”

A quote that will not agree with all its guests, given… the originality of the dishes served to its guests.
