The foregoing, following the uniformed police discovered that the packages in question found in the Lebu jail contained three cartridges of explosives and two electric detonators.

In view of this, the Carabineros carried out an exhaustive inspection of the interior of the prison, finding at another point three other explosive cartridges, two electric detonators and two shotgun cartridges.

The head of the Eighth Zone of Carabineros, General César Bobadilla, affirmed that “unknown individuals, who were passing through the exterior of this prison compound, They threw some suspicious packages onto the roof of the penal compound.”.

“The prosecutor on duty orders the attendance of GOPE personnel from the Carabineros, and it is detected that there are indeed elements that might be associated with some explosive devices,” added Bobadilla, also stating that what happened “it is not normal”.

Due to the aforementioned, he realized the fact at the prosecution de Lebu, which instructed the police with the aim of finding those responsible for the launch of the elements in question.

As the minutes passed, it was reported that a legend was found inside one of the packages, which -according to the Gendarmerie- refers to an inmate known as “El Coco”, detained and accused by the crime of homicide.

Likewise, a similar letter was found with the name of Felipe, an inmate who was identified and who is being held for possession of ammunition and trafficking in small quantities, for which reason it is presumed that the explosives were destined for these two inmates.

After the procedure in question, it was determined the transfer of both inmates to the Concepción Penitentiary Compliance Center.
