Will there be mandatory masks throughout the country or not? There is already an official response from the Ministry of Health

The Minister of Health, Carolina Corchoassured that the use of face masks It will not be mandatory in the country. Despite the growth in the number of infections, the measure was ruled out by an epidemiological committee.

The technical committee, convened by Minister Corcho, considered that it was not necessary to extend the requirement of the measure, which today it remains valid only for public service. One of the options was that the mask was also required in closed areas.

Minister Corcho warned, however, regarding the importance of maintaining care and go ahead with the vaccine application.

“Right now we are doing a call of conscience. You also have to complete the vaccine, the other influenza vaccines, complete the vaccination schemes for boys and girls, because We are seeing a significant increase”said the head of the Health portfolio.

In this sense, the Government announced that the use of masks is maintained as it had already been established, this dayIt must be used in public transport, health centers and nursing homes.

The statements were made at the end of a meeting held by the Minister of Health, with the President of Congress, Roy Barreras, and different representatives of the health system, to set the points that would make up the structural reform of the system, which will be released early next year.
