PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Automaker Stellantis announced Monday that it has entered into an agreement with U.S. energy producer DTE Energy to add 400 megawatts (MW) of new solar projects in the state of Michigan ( United States) through the MIGreenPower program.

This commitment concerns the 70 industrial and non-industrial sites that Stellantis has in southeast Michigan, the group added in a press release.

In addition, Stellantis has indicated that this agreement should allow it to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions in North America by 50% by 2026.

To date, more than 800 companies are registered with DTE Energy’s MIGreenPower program, as well as more than 75,000 residential customers.
