There are some things our bodies do while we sleep, the body undergoes many changes without our awareness, and sometimes it affects our health.
Here are 10 things that happen during sleep, according to listverse.
1- dips
One of the things that happen during sleep is a decrease in blood pressure and body temperature as a result of a decrease in the level of adrenaline in the blood, because the body does not need it during rest, and thus the heart rates begin to decline.
As well as the core body temperature by more than 2 degrees Celsius, so experts advise keeping the bedroom cool at night, to help prepare the person for sleep.
2- Sleep paralysis
This phenomenon occurs when we see a severe nightmare, which leads to the non-movement of the body easily, and our feet and hands become paralyzed, and sometimes leads to hallucinations, and this is frightening because it makes us unable not to respond knowing that it is a “dream.”
To avoid it, you should immediately consult a specialist doctor to treat this condition, and get rid of things that cause stress.
3- You walk while you walk
One of the things that also happens is sleepwalking, which is a sleep disorder in which the brain is in a semi-conscious state, and this results in getting out of bed, going to the kitchen, walking around the room, and driving a car.
This condition represents a great danger to the affected person, and research has shown that it is due to genetic factors, or feeling insomnia is one of the things that lead to sleep disorders while walking, some drugs that have side effects.
Sleeping habits and appointments must be changed and regulated, and a doctor should be consulted to avoid sleepwalking.
4- Sudden tremors of the body
One of the common things that happen, as a result of physiological changes in the body during sleep, due to feeling tired and lack of sleep, which causes body muscles to tighten and thus affects the nervous system.
To avoid it, you must take medications to treat stress following consulting a doctor, exercise, and calm the nerves before bed.
5- Weight loss
One of the things that happen that many people do not know, as the body continues to burn calories loses more than 7 kg of water at night.
6- Using the brain for more energy
Most of the energy produced while awake is used by various physical activities such as: movement, breathing, and speaking, but during sleep this energy is not used and the surplus is transferred to the brain, and this means that its consumption in the brain becomes much higher during sleep than normal, which affects the nervous system .
7- Purification of information
The mind is filled with a lot of information during the day, and it gets rid of the unimportant ones during sleep at night, so to get a peaceful sleep, you can take a hot bath that helps the body reach relaxation and rest.
