According to an exclusive SeLoger.com study for Europe 1, more than a quarter of owners regret not having a good wood fire at home to spend the holidays the end of the year. “We can’t be safe from having a gas cut”
In the bright aisles of the store, customers scan the shelves and make their choice. Wilfried is going to invest in a wood stove at 7,500 euros to lower his gas bill but above all to be autonomous in heating. “We are lucky to be heated by gas, but we cannot be safe from having a gas cut tomorrow. We are talking regarding power cuts, and now we can say to ourselves that if there is has a power cut this winter, it won’t be a problem because we can have heating in our house,” he said.
“I have extraordinary sales”
A wood fire and savings, but not only specifies his wife, Fanny. “Cocooning, hot chocolate with the little book in front of the fireplace, that’s the real pleasure side. And so having that at home, and not just in a holiday home, is a real plus, it’s bonus. There is the pleasure side and the decorative side too”, she whispers.
In recent months, the number of customers has increased. Jerome, the seller, always has trouble realizing. “I have sales that are, in quotes, extraordinary. Since the crisis in Ukraine, the market has evolved by 90%. There is both ecological and monetary awareness. And suddenly, customers have rushes on renewables before linking log wood and wood pellets”, he says. Victims of their success, many products are out of stock. Some customers will have to wait until January 2024 to receive their order.
