Last month, following many years of waiting, the next big Sonic game was released for all major platforms. Sonic Frontiers shone with a completely new concept for the series in the form of the open zone worlds, which the blue hedgehog can explore freely in order to track down the Chaos Emeralds. Even before release, the Sonic team made it clear that Frontiers will lay the foundation for the next ten years of the franchise.
The Game Awards are over and Sonic Frontiers took second place in the Player’s Choice Awards. The development team at SEGA also seems to be delighted regarding this. At least the game director Morio Kishimoto commented on the topic and promises fans a lot for the future of the series. We have attached the translation of his Japanese tweet for you.
