The demoness Lilith and the angel Inarius wanted to flee the Eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell. From their union was born Sanctuaire. Gold, several decades following the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, here they are once more at war with each other, at the head of armies made up of their followers.
