How to use the new PAMI booklet to get appointments faster with specialists

The booklet can be consulted on the web or through an application.

PAMI launched the new medical booklet that allows members to find their specialists and medical centers easier and access appointments faster.

In addition to specialties, affiliates can choose diagnostic imaging centers, ophthalmological and dental centers, and thanks to the new search filters they will be able to obtain more specific results and more information.

To access the new medical card, the affiliated person must enter the organization’s site or through the PAMI app that you can download in the store on your phone. There, you can search by medical service, professional or health center. Lastly, the affiliate or affiliate must choose a location and request the shift.

The medical card is a necessary tool so that affiliated people have the freedom to choose the specialist they prefer, just like the members of any prepaid or social work do.

The new medical care model allowed the incorporation of more than 1,500 professionals, medical centers, clinics and diagnostic imaging centers so that affiliated people can access a better quality of care.

“Freedom to choose” gives members the possibility of choosing the professional with whom to attend. In order to choose the doctor or specialist doctor, it is necessary to follow the steps detailed below:

1- First of all, the affiliated person must contact their doctor or family doctor to request the order that enables both the consultation with the specialist and the obtaining of an appointment at the diagnostic imaging center.

2- Secondly, and once the electronic medical order has been issued, affiliates must look for the options available in the new medical record and choose the doctor or specialist there.

3- Once they have the assigned shift with the specialist, the affiliated persons must attend the indicated day with their PAMI credential and their DNI.

With the “Freedom to Choose” program, 13 million shifts were granted in more than 30 specialties and diagnostic imaging, a record for the social work of retirees.

After the incorporation of “The freedom to choose”, consultations with ophthalmologists increased by 40%, cataract operations by 66% and more than 100,000 glasses were delivered in one month.

Within this medical care model, the comprehensive dental plan, “Sonrisa Mayor”, was added to guarantee quality care and strengthen the prevention of the most frequent oral pathologies for all affiliates in the country. It includes a menu of priority practices such as prosthetics, endodontics, complex surgeries, diagnostic imaging.
