On Saturday evening, December 10th, there was a curious vehicle theft on the Planai, in which the stolen vehicle finally got stuck on the prepared ski slope.
FASTENBERG/SCHLADMING. At around 6 p.m., the police were contacted by a 49-year-old woman who claimed that her vehicle had been stolen by a young man. Of the 19 year old thief but now I am standing next to her and stated that he does not know where he left the vehicle.

When asked regarding the theft of the vehicle, the 19-year-old confessed to the police. He further stated that he saw them 49-year-old vehicle owner, who works in a ski lodge, got into her vehicle, started it and then got out to get something from the ski lodge. She let that engine of the vehicle to run.
The heavily intoxicated 19-year-old, who had previously left an après-ski hut, saw this as an invitation and drove towards the valley in the 49-year-old’s vehicle.
After a short time, however, the young man came from the fortified mountain road and drove into one with the stolen vehicle groomed ski slopebecause he might no longer distinguish the runway from the normal road due to the snowfall.

It wasn’t long before the vehicle stayed stuck in the snow, then the 19-year-old went back to the scene of the crime, where the vehicle owner was already waiting for him. Two snow groomers of the Planai-Bahnen were able to recover the stuck car and bring it back to the street.
Numerous administrative and criminal charges are now waiting for the young man.
