Kiev: Ukraine’s missile attack on southern Ukraine and other Russian-held areas. International media reported that the attacks took place in the self-proclaimed regions of Donetsk and Crimea, including on Russian military barracks. Footage of the attack in Melitopol is circulating on social media. The attack in the Crimean city of Simferopol took place at nine o’clock local time on Saturday. Sevastopol, the headquarters of Russian forces in the Black Sea, and military barracks in Sovietske, Hvardiske, Zhankoy and Nirniohirsky were also attacked.

Meanwhile, following the attack by Iran-made drones, electricity supply has been interrupted to more than 15 lakh people in Odesa region of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the nation on Saturday that 15 drones targeted Odessa. Ukraine’s air defense system managed to destroy 10 of them. But the rest of the power supply was affected, Zelensky added.
