In the Kaliningrad region, on the night of December 12, an increase in the northeast, north wind is expected. At the same time, heavy snow is predicted, the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the agency, the wind speed will be up to 12-17 m/s. In the morning and in the first half of the day on December 12, heavy snow and a blizzard are expected. Visibility will be 500-1000 m. Ice and snow may form on the roads.
“The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region recommends, if possible, not to plan car trips during the specified period of time, but to be extremely careful on the roads and choose the speed limit taking into account the traffic situation,” the department added.
