Twitter surprises iPhone users .. “We will increase subscription prices”

Starting tomorrow, Monday, the Twitter platform is preparing to increase subscription prices for its paid service Twitter Blue On an Apple device app, which means that the user is charged for the share Apple takes from the payments.

It is assumed that the price will be raised to eleven dollars if the purchase is made through the application on “iPhone” and “iPad” devices, while the price will be reduced to eight dollars if the subscription is made through the website.

This step aims to reduce the impact of Apple’s deduction of up to thirty percent of every payment made within the applications.

Twitter initially launched Blue Twitter in early November, before pausing it as fake accounts spread. It was then scheduled to be released once more on November 29, but was delayed.

Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter for $44 billion in November, in a series of tweets last month listed several complaints with Apple, including the 30% fee that the iPhone maker charges developers. Software vs. in-app purchases.

He then accused Apple of threatening to ban Twitter from its app store, and also said that the iPhone maker had stopped on the social media platform.

However, following a subsequent meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Musk tweeted that the misunderstanding over Twitter’s removal from the Apple App Store had been settled.

Elon Musk revealed a week ago that Apple has resumed on the Twitter platform, explaining that it is currently the largest advertiser on the platform.

Musk made these comments during a conversation on “Twitter Spaces”, while he did not explain in detail what happened with “Apple”, and he spoke for more than two hours from his private plane during the chat, which received more than 90 thousand listeners.

This comes, while Musk previously criticized Apple, accusing the iPhone and Mac manufacturer of mostly stopping on Twitter and threatening to delete the application from its App Store. By targeting Apple, Musk risked a war with the world’s most valuable company and major advertisers at a time when other companies were pulling ads from Twitter.
