Amman-Alghad- In the framework of strengthening its leadership in the field of cyber security, Umniah Company – a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain Group, held a workshop on the most prominent services and solutions provided by Umniah in the field of cyber security to its clients from the financial and banking sector institutions, in cooperation with a number of solution providers. The workshop was attended by representatives of banking institutions, banking and financial services, and insurance companies, as it dealt with topics in data protection and privacy, which are in line with the requirements of the Central Bank of Jordan, in addition to their compliance with the draft personal data protection law issued by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, where the information security team at Umniah company spoke regarding Digital Evidence Investigation Service and Incident Response. The representative of NETSCOUT company spoke regarding protection solutions from distributed denial-of-service attacks – DDoS, while the representative of NetWitness company presented solutions for network intrusion detection and response (NDR Solution), while the solutions to prevent data leakage provided by it were presented. Commenting on this workshop, Zaid Al-Ibrahim, CEO of the Commercial Department at Umniah, said: “Umniah is keen to provide our customers from public and private sector organizations with the latest cybersecurity solutions and services of high reliability to protect their information systems from potential electronic intrusions and thefts, which is reflected positively. Al-Ibrahim pointed out that these services are provided through the Security Operation Center (SOC), the Information Security Team, and the Network Security Team, noting that the center works around the clock, seven days a week, to monitor and track vulnerabilities.
