Regional president reported that more than 600 women benefited.

In the Guaiparo hospital in San Félix and in Uyapar in Puerto Ordaz, sterilization days were held for women.

Through a press release from the State Governorate they reported on the fact. The regional president, Ángel Marcano, and the first lady, Yajaira Arocha de Marcano, were present there.

He explained that two simultaneous sterilization activities were carried out. “Saturday of intense health day, the Sterilization Plan includes a family planning program,” she pointed out.

The governor explained that in addition to this plan, they continue with cataract operations that already add up to 1,700 people benefited, plus the placement of dental prostheses.

“This Sterilization Plan includes patients from the 11 parishes of the Caroní municipality, the Angostura del Orinoco municipality and other areas of the Bolívar state,” he said.

After passing through Uyapar, the governor went to the Raúl Leoni Hospital in Guaiparo, where a sterilization day was also held.

He affirmed that 60 women were intervened, and that so far this year, more than 600 have been benefited.

“Our priority is health and family planning, we will continue advancing for the well-being of our people,” he added.

For her part, Cecilia Tenorio, Social Management Manager of Fundación Social Bolívar (FSB), explained that this plan is part of the program; Woman, Life and Future.
He stressed that in addition to sterilizations, they support women with contraceptive methods (pills and devices), and that those interested should go to the headquarters of Fundación Social Bolívar.
