Ari Lasso be a part of Dewa 19 since the band was founded 30 years ago. Being a vocalist who left and came back in various reunion concepts.
However, for the first time, following decades of being together, Ari Lasso cried once more. This happened on the DEWA 19 A Night at the Orchestra stage at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Saturday (10/12/2022).
“This is a historic moment, let’s record this history by taking out your cellphone. You are the first to listen to my new single with DEWA 19 following 23 years,” said Ari Lasso.
This number is 23 years since the release of the song Eagle on . After that, Lasso disappeared from Dewa 19, until he finally returned to the stage through a solo project.
“The title, The Last Cry,” continued Lasso.
It’s been melancholy from the first note, as the title suggests. An additional 54 orchestra players complete the song’s tartness.
“Tonight my tears are gone. I don’t want to cry anymore because of heartache. This is my last cry. I can’t hold it anymore.” That’s a fragment of the lyrics of the Last Cry.
Not entirely nuanced typical pop rock Dethe 19th in the 90s, because of the touch of electronic sounds that sounded. However, it is difficult to betray Ari Lasso’s voice, which seems to be created with an aura of nostalgia.
