Nedumbassery: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that if public sector companies are taken forward in an exemplary and timely manner, the progress of the country can be boosted.

He was inaugurating the business jet terminal at Kochi International Airport (CIAL). The industrial progress we envisage is possible only if parallel development can be implemented in all sectors like roads, rail transport, water transport and air transport. The Chief Minister said that the state government is moving ahead with plans for this in these four areas.

Sial is constantly able to take up new projects and complete them satisfactorily before the stipulated time. It is very remarkable that Kochi airport is ranked third in the country in the number of international passengers.

Kerala’s gross domestic product is above the national average. The Chief Minister also appreciated the expertise of SIAL for completing the business jet terminal within 10 months on a tight budget.

Minister P. Rajiv presided. SIAL Director M.A. Yusufali delivered the introductory lecture. Minister K. Rajan, Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan, MPs Haibi Eden and Benny Bahnan, MLAs Anwar Sadat and Roji M. John, Chief Secretary Dr. V.P. Joy, E.K. Bharatbhushan, Aruna Sundarajan, Reggie Mathew, P.V. Kunj, K.C. Martin, Gracie Dayanandan and Shobha Bharatan spoke. Sial M.D.S. Suhas Swagat and Executive Director A.M. Shabir also thanked.
