Panorama presented the European Film in its 15th session, which was held from the 1st to the 10th of this December, in which the audience watched an important group of the most prominent European films, in which the attendees exchanged feelings and ideas regarding these films. Cinema is an essential part of the viewing journey.
The episodes were presented by a number of Egyptian filmmakers and critics, to express their nominations, opinions and impressions in the films of the current session, and an episode regarding the retrospectives of Jean-Luc Godard’s cinema. , Mustafa Youssef.
Producer Marianne Khoury, Head of European Film Panorama, confirmed that the first challenge for this session was choosing films, and explained that young people in Panorama work throughout the year and watch a very large number of films to select from them the most important films participating in festivals in the world, so that the Panorama audience can enjoy them.
She added, saying that the biggest challenge this year was holding the World Cup at the same time as Panorama, but despite this we saw that the audience came to watch movies, and we did not think regarding changing the date.
It is noteworthy that the European Film Panorama is an annual event launched by the International Film Company of Egypt in 2004, and is held with the support of the European Union in cooperation with EUNIC. Prestigious festivals, and films that mark the history of cinema from all over Europe. In addition, Panorama organizes a parallel program of workshops and lectures conducted and delivered by industry professionals around the world.
