According to the publication, the new protection system will allow you to store data in iCloud even if the company’s servers are hacked. However, Apple will not have access to this data, so the information will not be available to third parties. In this case, encryption will not apply to email, contact list and calendar.
According to The Wall Street Journal sources, the new protection system will be available to Apple users in the US by the end of 2022. It is expected that users around the world will be able to use it in 2023.
