sanitary measures are required in the facilities of the CISSS Côte-Nord

Wearing a mask is recommended in public places at the first symptoms. It is compulsory in health establishments.

There are still significant outbreaks of respiratory viruses in hospitals, multi-service centers, CHSLDs, CLSCs and medical clinics on the North Shore. Sanitary measures such as wearing a mask must be respected. Emergencies are overflowing with occupancy rates of 180% in Sept-Îles and 220% in Baie-Comeau this Wednesday.

The health network also imposes hand hygiene and physical distancing, as during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, anyone with symptoms such as cough, fever, vomiting or diarrhea should not present themselves as visitors to the various establishments.

The Côte-Nord Integrated Health Center invites service users to be particularly vigilant as the holiday season approaches, regarding the frequency of hand washing and the wearing of masks in busy public places.

Vaccination

The CISSS is also relaunching its vaccination campaign once morest COVID-19. The flu vaccine is strongly recommended for people who are more at risk of developing complications, i.e. people aged 75 and over, those with certain chronic diseases and pregnant women.
