The Witcher 3 for PS5 has tons of secrets to uncover

For the next-gen upgrade from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt CD Projekt does not only rely on visual and technical upgrades. Players who may already know this can continue to discover a secret or two.

So far, the support for ray tracing, faster loading times and a large number of mods that are integrated directly into the gaming experience have been used. So from the official side.

Narrative Director Philip Webber adds here, however, that there will also be a lot of secrets and details that can still be discovered. Opposite to Eurogamer Webber said:

“So we’ve hidden a lot of new secrets and a lot of new little details that we want people to find,” Weber said. “Roach can walk backwards now. Or indeed, when Roach is standing, there’s a hidden button to kick even now. Or I think Roach now raises his head when you’re in the water. We tried to make a lot of these little things easy for people to find that we’re not even going to put in the patch notes.”

For many players, the next-gen upgrade is already the highlight at the end of the year, even if they already know The Witcher 3 from the start.

The next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition will be available in digital form for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and all previously released free DLCs as well as the two major expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine contain.

Additionally, it will be made available as a free next-gen update for all owners of any version of the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A physical version will follow the initial digital release, the release date of which has yet to be revealed.
