[ワシントン 6日 ロイター] – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on the 6th that it will begin investigating whether there are any safety issues with some models of Honda and Stellantis.
NHTSA said it will begin a preliminary evaluation of power and braking issues.
About 1.7 million units of the 2018-2022 model CR-V and HR-V in the U.S. will be affected. Problems such as sudden loss of power on highways have been reported.
In addition to Honda vehicles, 390,000 2017-2018 model Ram 2500-3500 pickup trucks have received 134 reports of brake failures, etc., and will be investigated.
About 230,000 2019-2020 Jeep Compass sport utility vehicles (SUVs) will also be investigated following reports of power outages while driving.
No accidents have been reported in connection with these three investigations. NHTSA must decide whether to conduct an engineering analysis for each investigation before issuing a recall request.
