One MP was injured in a brawl in the Turkish parliament between government and opposition MPs.
Hüseyin Örs of the opposition Iyi party was hospitalized with an abnormal heart rhythm in the capital Ankara today following a lawmaker from the ruling AKP party punched him to the ground, the DHA news agency reported.
The 58-year-old Örs is in the intensive care unit. Pictures showed him being taken away by ambulance.
The two groups initially argued verbally and then attacked each other with their fists. Several MPs fell to the ground, as reported by DHA and as can be seen in the pictures. The reason for the dispute is unclear. Parliament had a budget planning session.
