Apple Music gains karaoke function with Apple Music Sing

After the possibility of enjoying music without loss and in Dolby Atmos, Apple Music is once once more expanding its offer, at no additional cost, with the arrival of a new karaoke function.

Apple Music Sing: well, sing now!

Cupertino today officially introduces the Apple Music Sing feature for its music streaming service. With this new mode, users of the service will be able to display the lyrics as well as the singing synchronized in real time on them (the lyrics will light up as they go to allow the singer to know where he is) , like a good old karaoke session. Apple does not stop there and announces that it will be possible to choose several display modes, and to obtain separate vocal lines for duets, or even a special display for choirs. It will also be possible to vary the level of the main voice in real time (but not to remove it completely) in order to replace the singer or the singer, or to choose an in-between in order to be supported by the artist. Apple does not specify whether an algorithm will be responsible for separating the voice, or whether artists and record companies will have to provide the separate tracks, which would imply that the entire catalog will not be available at launch.

Playlists designed for karaoke

This new Apple Music Sing function will be accompanied at launch by 50 playlists integrating the great classics that have made karaoke hits around the world. Apple Music Sing will be available on iPhone, iPad and the new Apple TV 4K (which is therefore gaining interest for karaoke lovers) before the end of the month for all Apple Music subscribers, and at no additional cost. The Mac does not seem to be part of it, but might have access to Apple muscu Sing in a second time. The real question, however, remains unanswered. Can we sing at the top of our lungs by mistaking the Apple TV remote for a microphone?
