More warning salvos from North Korea towards the sea

According to official sources, North Korea repeatedly fired artillery shells towards the sea on Tuesday. The government in Pyongyang has instructed the military to fire more volleys into the open sea, the official North Korean news agency KCNA reported. South Korea is currently conducting military exercises at the border.

North Korea said it fired more than 130 shells into the sea from its east and west coasts on Monday, some of which fell in a buffer zone near the sea border between North and South Korea. The Seoul government called this a violation of a 2018 inter-Korean agreement to ease tensions.
