A Qatari-Emirati summit discusses strengthening cooperation

Mohammed bin Zayed visited Doha and received Herzog in Abu Dhabi

Yesterday, Doha witnessed a summit between the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which they affirmed support for security and stability in the region.

The Emir of Qatar said in a tweet on Twitter: “The visit of the President of the UAE allowed us to discuss ways to strengthen brotherly relations between our two countries, and to exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, foremost of which are ways to support security and stability in the region.”

As stated by the Qatari Emiri Diwan, during the talks, they discussed “brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to support and consolidate them in various fields, especially with regard to strengthening the bonds of brotherly cooperation for the good and interest of the two brotherly peoples, in addition to strengthening joint Gulf action.”

After his return later yesterday to Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received Israeli President Isaac Herzog, who is on a working visit to the country, during which he will attend the Abu Dhabi Space Dialogue.

During the meeting, which took place at Al-Shati Palace, the President of the UAE and his Israeli counterpart discussed the relations of cooperation between the UAE and Israel and its paths towards promoting development, peace and prosperity for the benefit of the peoples of the region in general.

Herzog had arrived in Abu Dhabi from Bahrain, and this is his second visit to the Emirates, and his first visit was in January.
