“Jimmy G” suffered multiple broken feet in Sunday’s 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed his pivot’s condition following the game.
“He’s going to be sidelined,” he confirmed to the NFL Network. He will have to be operated. He broke several bones.
Garoppolo was injured on the 49ers’ first possession. He was tackled simultaneously by Dolphins players Jerome Baker and Jaelan Philipps.
In relief at Garoppolo, rookie Brock Purdy was sent into the fray on Sunday.
