Doha: English continues to rise in the Qatar Football World Cup. The English army advanced to the quarter-finals by defeating the African champions, Senegal. England entered the quarter following defeating Senegal by three goals. England will face France in the quarterfinals. Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Xhaka moved Senegal’s net for England.
England took the lead in the 38th minute of the first half. Bellingham’s assist was Jordan Henderson who scored first for England. After the first half, Harry Kane increased the team’s lead to two in the third minute of the injury time. Senegal did not defend to stop Harry Kane who came across the box following receiving Foden’s pass.
The second half belonged to England. Mendy had no answer to Bukayo Saka’s finish following Foden’s move in the 57th minute. A lopsided three-goal win gives the British Army an authentic quarter berth.
