In an interview with LBCI channel, Abiad indicated that “one of the items on the cabinet’s agenda tomorrow is the World Bank loan, which needs a decree to be concluded, and we were going to use part of it to pay hospitals.”
He said, “The credits that have not been seized will be dropped, and we are facing a major impasse with the hospitals if a cabinet session is not held tomorrow.”
He added, “Foreign companies that sent medicines to Lebanon for the treatment of cancer tell us that if you do not pay, we cannot continue to send you medicines for free.”
And the Minister of Health continued, “Let us come down to decide on the basic and health-related items, and then, when we reach items that they do not consider important, let them withdraw and exceed the quorum, and I do not imagine that there is a problem with the items related to health needs.”
