Xiaomi will enter the mini-PC market

It’s been a while since we noticed that Xiaomi is looking to establish itself in the PC market. We were able to catch a glimpse of their excellent laptops, gaming monitors worthy of attention… Here is now an offer of mini-PCs with several formats. Several photos have thus leaked with products lying for some between what does Intel with its NUCs and Mac Minis see more “open” products with a format that remains to be defined but offering a larger volume (to allow the use of a graphics card?).

According to information from Wccftechmini-PCs approaching the Nuc format will have a configuration around the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H APU with a Radeon 680M iGPU, 16 GB memory, 512 GB SSD.

Xiaomi: and now mini-PCs

The Xiaomi Host PC (name leaked on Weibo) should be a barebones kit-type product, i.e. only having a power supply unit which is confirmed to be an XM22AL5X unit with a nominal power of 100 W. This power would obviously greatly limit the potentially embarkable equipment. But a priori the chassis might allow users to upgrade this alimentation SFF to use a small dedicated graphics card (2 slots). For the moment, the photos show that no motherboard is delivered with this barebones. If this information is verified, it might mean that we are moving towards a non-proprietary format for the latter (mini ITX?).
