It creates a curved-screen iPhone

A hardware technician has just modified the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Its goal is to make it look like the Samsung Galaxy with a curved screen.

The Twitter User @lipilipsi is a self-proclaimed iPhone technician specializing in Apple device modifications. The latter has just published his latest project: replacing the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a curved screen without changing any internal component.

The curved screen is particularly reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones. These smartphones have had curved screens since 2014. The first to sport this curved screen was the Galaxy Note Edge. The rendering of the phone with a curved edge is rather appealing. A track to follow for Apple in the coming years?

This engineer is not at his first attempt. Indeed, he has already undertaken several other inventive iPhone modifications. Among these accomplishments: adding a rear display using an Apple Watch, switching an iPhone 13’s Lightning port to USB-C, and moving an entire device into a transparent case to see internal components.
