The Prince of Wales meets the Kennedys in Boston

The meeting between the heir to the British throne and the spiritual heir of John Fitzgerald Kennedy was almost as expected as that with the American president. This meeting took place this Friday, December 2, during the visit of the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum by the Prince of Wales. Prince William visited the museum, guided by John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg.

Prince William meets Joe Biden

The Prince and Princess of Wales have been visiting Boston, Massachusetts since Wednesday. Before presiding over the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony on Friday evening, December 2, Prince William visited the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, a museum dedicated to the memory of the 35th President of the United States. At the same time, his wife Catherine was visiting the Center of the Developing Child at Harvard University, where she spoke with researchers regarding advances in science that can be harnessed to provide a bright future for every child.

Before entering the museum, Prince William briefly met Joe Biden, who at the same time was in Boston for a Democratic Party event. They strolled along Boston Harbor before reaching the museum. The Prince of Wales was greeted at the entrance by Caroline Bouvier Kennedy, 65, the late President Kennedy’s daughter, who is also the US Ambassador to Australia. Caroline Kennedy was accompanied by her son, John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, nicknamed Jack, and her second daughter, Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg.

Jack Kennedy Schlossberg guides the Prince of Wales to the Kennedy Library

Jack Kennedy Schlossberg, 29, is the only male descendant of John and Jackie Kennedy, since the death of his uncle, John Jr, in 1999. This brilliant young man graduated from Yale in 2015 and double graduated from Harvard, in law and in business since this year. In 2020, Jack Kennedy Schlossberg stood out with a video in which he supported Joe Biden’s election campaign for president. Some saw in him the qualities of a good political orator.

The museum dedicated to JFK was opened in 1979 by President Carter. The building was designed by architect Ieoh Ming Pei and contains the president’s correspondence. During his visit to the JFK Library, William honored the impact the famous speech had Moonshot of President Kennedy and how this speech inspired him for his initiative of the Earthshot Prize Awards, environmental prizes which he will present in the evening.

The Kennedys invite themselves into the war between William and Harry

Before leaving the Kennedys, the Prince of Wales autographed a photograph of Queen Elizabeth II that JFK and Jackie had received when they visited Buckingham Palace in June 1961. Surprisingly, the Kennedys were also involved in the war between William and Harry. Caroline and her son have chosen the side of the Prince of William. Last week, Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and niece of the president, accused the monarchy of “structural racism”. She chairs the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, which will soon award a prize to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their committed work once morest racism.
