New York Film Critics Circle; Best director Rajamouli

Rajamouli, who is regarding to shine on the Oscar stage, won an international award for the first time. Rajamouli won the Best Director Award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. This is the group to which many of America’s earliest critics belong.

The best film is Tar directed by Todd Field. Colin Farrell Best Actor. The award presentation will take place in January.

Ahead of the Oscars, Rajamouli’s RRR is being well received in America. Directed by Rajamouli, RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan will compete in 15 Oscar categories including Best Film, Director and Actor. The team members have submitted the application as part of the For Your Consideration campaign.

The For Your Consideration campaign is the first step towards selection for an Oscar nomination. After the films are screened in the theaters under the Oscar Academy, the voting of the Academy members will begin. The Oscar nominations will be announced following this.

RRR, which has made waves all over India, has received a great response abroad as well. Even Hollywood directors praised the film. The film had a record collection in Japan as well. The response from fans around the world has taken RRR to the Oscars.

Gujarati film Cello Show has been selected as India’s official Oscar entry. Cello Show’s entry beat RRR and Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘Kashmir Files’. While Chello Show’s competition is for Best Foreign Language Film, RRR is all set to compete in the main stream category which includes Hollywood films.
