World Cup in Qatar: Switzerland – Serbia 3:2

Despite being 2-1 down, coach Murat Yakin’s team prevailed in a delicate duel. The Swiss almost even became group winners. Now they meet Portugal in the round of 16 on Tuesday.

Why should the final decision regarding qualifying for the round of 16 be any different? This football World Cup in Qatar is a tournament of late and rather crazy twists. Also in Group G. On Friday evening, shortly before the end of the game, Switzerland leads 3:2 once morest Serbia, Cameroon has just scored 1:0 once morest Brazil in added time in the parallel game. The Brazilians rested their regular forces, they were almost punished for it. The Swiss are now only missing a goal to win their group – and to face their opponent South Korea in the round of 16. But only one goal and like Cameroon they have four points and 4-4 goals – victory in the direct encounter would speak for them.
