“I shouldn’t have said it…”: Quique Neira went off the deep end and revealed that a renowned journalist inspired one of his classics

An unexpected confession was made this week by Quique Neira, who was a Alex Reed on the Hola Chile program on La Red.

While reviewing and singing some of his on-screen classics, the former Gondwana vocalist revealed that Armonía de amor, perhaps his most popular song, was inspired by a well-known national journalist.

Everything arose when he brought to light some anecdotes of his compositions. “Life is a song,” she said at the outset.

And regarding it, he launched the unexpected revelation: “what only a few people know is that Harmony of love I wrote it to a journalist who is known, but I have never said her name. I am a gentleman”.

Immediately followingwards, he revealed some details of the romance, which only lasted 3 months. “I thought (love would last), but it didn’t. At least the song remained, which is a continental success”, he puffed out his chest.

“I can’t say his name, but people know him. He made himself known, and it wasn’t me. I am the gentleman, and I kept (my secret) (…) I should not have said it, ”he joked in the middle of his testimony.

It should be noted that Quique Neira in the interview alludes to Lucía López, who at the time hinted that the aforementioned song was written for her.

“When artists are inspired, they are looking for an excuse to land those words (…) I mightn’t confirm it, he would have to say it,” he said in May 2018 on the now-defunct Let’s keep going long program.

“What I can say is that I had a relationship with him. That is true, just in that period (in which she wrote the song) ”, the communicator confessed at that time.
