Indiana Jones: Darkness and Riddick veteran joins the team

While we’re generally enjoying the new trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, there’s also more and more movement in the announced game from the Wolfenstein makers.

Developer MachineGames has strengthened its staff for the upcoming game regarding Indiana Jones and the good man’s CV makes you sit up and take notice. The studio has apparently hired Jens Andersson as the new design director. Andersson has made a name for himself with two iconic action titles. Namely, he was involved in The Darkness and Chronicles of Riddick – both games that have a very good reputation among action fans.

The change is doubly interesting for Andersson, who already has a past with Indiana Jones. Andersson was supposed to join LucasArts as lead designer for the then planned implementation of Indiana Jones. However, the game was canceled before Andersson might even start it.

At Machine Games, Andersson also meets former colleagues and is quite happy: “Now I get the chance to do what I originally hoped for, but this time I can do it with some of my oldest and best friends. To MachineGames Coming is like coming home – amazing people I worked with during Riddick and Darkness, but also many new ones whose talent blows my mind every day.”

However, we are still waiting for details regarding the announced game. At least Todd Howard from publisher Bethesda reported to speak. Indiana Jones is therefore a genre mix, the developers deliberately do not commit themselves to a specific direction. He goes on to say that it is a “clear declaration of love to Indiana Jones”.
