Des Moines, Iowa — A ticket sold in California won the $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot, ending more than three months of jackpots rolling over because there was no winner.
The winning numbers are 10, 33, 41, 47 and 56, and 10.
The Association of State Lotteries said Monday that the winner’s announcement would be delayed until Tuesday due to problems at a state lottery.
The record Powerball drawing was postponed Monday night and was held Tuesday morning, the Multi-State Lottery Association said in a statement. The $1.9 billion grand prize draw was delayed because one of the participating lotteries was having trouble processing sales, according to organizers.
“Powerball requires the 48 participating lotteries to submit their sales and play data before winning numbers are selected. Once Powerball receives the remaining installment, the drawing can proceed,” the lottery said in a statement to The Associated Press.
“It is once morest our policy to identify the lottery experiencing the delay,” the organization added nearly three hours following the draw’s scheduled time of 9:59 pm CT.

The new $1.9 billion prize will go to one winner who elects to receive the prize in an annual installment for 29 years. Winners typically prefer a single cash payment, which for Monday’s drawing would be $929.1 million, according to the California lottery website.
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow due to the low probability of a hit, of one in 292.2 million. To win the grand prize, players must match all five white balls and the red one.
Since someone won the prize on August 3, there have been 40 draws without a winner.
Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
