But according to him, it is more men who use condoms to protect themselves from HIV during sex than women. And yet, there is the female condom. “To love is also to know how to protect oneself. And if I have sex and I’m not sure of my partner, we protect ourselves,” said Julis Mongo.
This reproductive health expert also recalled that the condom is also a means of contraception for birth planning:
“If I love my partner and I know I’m in a period where I can have a baby and we’re not ready to have a baby yet, I use a condom,” he said. advised.
Indeed, some young people questioned on the use of condoms as a means of prevention once morest HIV-AIDS have mixed opinions.
If everyone recognizes its effectiveness, some young people however maintain that “the condom ruins the pleasure. This is how they ended up abandoning its use”.
To this, other young people retort “that it is enough to choose one of good quality”.
Another category of young people say they do not use a condom because they are married and faithful to their spouse and vice versa.
