Be architects of mercy: Pope Francis to voluntary organizations

Pope Francis’ video message for the month of December highlighting the importance and value of volunteer service has been released.

In his final video message of the year with a prayer for the month of December 2022, Pope Francis underlined the value of voluntary organizations in society and those who work with them, asking them to do better through cooperation.

In his message, Pope Francis highlighted the call of volunteers to be architects of mercy in society. The Pope called on the volunteers to become individuals committed to the common good. Pope reminded to spread and increase hope in the society.

In his message, the Pope said that volunteering helps us to be open to the needs of others. Reminding us that being committed volunteers is a choice that makes us free, the Pope highlighted the importance of working with people as well as working for people.

On the first of December, the video of Pope Francis containing the prayer requests for this month was released. This is the twelfth such video message this year. Pope Francis released the final edition of this year’s prayer videos, highlighting the work of volunteers working in society for the betterment of humanity and the common good.
