The head of the Syndicate of Owners of Private Hospitals, Suleiman Haroun, confirmed that “there is a big problem, as hospitals cannot receive their money from the Ministry of Finance from the Ministry of Health’s account if a decree has not been issued by the Council of Ministers in this regard, while they have been providing medical services for a year without obtaining their dues.” .
And he warned, in an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”, that “hospitals can no longer bear this reality more than next week,” revealing that “we are facing a major health dilemma that will deprive patients of hospitalization, including dialysis patients.”
Haroun appealed to “everyone to leave aside political differences and find a solution to this problem,” noting that “caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati promised that he would call for a cabinet session, and if the session does not take place, he will try to find a way to issue the necessary decree.”
