In search of a new contract following his freelance at Nanterre, Edwin Jackson (1.90 m, 32 years old) has joined the Spanish third division, in Menorca.
After a short period in Nanterre at the start of the season, Edwin Jackson is back in Spain. The former Villeurbannais signed a contract with Hestia Minorca, one of the five co-leaders of the Eastern Conference of LEB Plata, the Spanish third division, which notably includes Maxime Yomi, the former Espoir de Boulogne, in its ranks. -Levallois.
His short stint at Nanterre in Betclic Elite at the start of the year, the second following his 2008-09 season in Pro B, will not leave an imperishable memory (2.8 points, 1.0 assists for 3.3 evaluation in 13 minutes over 4 matches).
“I am very happy to play once more, in addition to doing it under Javier Zamora and with many players with whom I have a special relationship, as is the case with Nacho (Arroyo), who was my partner at Estudiantes. I can’t wait to get started”, explains Edwin Jackson by communiqué.
“Edwin is a player of great quality and experience. But the most important thing is that we have integrated into the project a person of exceptional human quality, which is a luxury for any organization ”, also praises his new coach Javier Zamora, whom he had already met in Madrid.
The French international (54 caps) will thus begin his seventh season in Spain, following five years in the first division and one in the second, in 2021-22, with Estudiantes Madrid (8.6 points at 44.1% on shots, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 20 minutes over 15 games).
