EL PASO, Texas- The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) announced that during the Thanksgiving season, it arrested a total of 26 drivers for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
“In total, it appears that there were 26 people arrested for DWI from Wednesday through Sunday,” they reported in a statement.
According to authorities, the previous weekend of November 18 to November 21, 18 DWI arrests were made.
Prior to that weekend of November 11-14, there were 21 DWI-related arrests.
“So with this weekend having one more day, it’s hard to say it was much higher than what we normally see.”
