NVIDIA and developers from Lightspeed Studios announced exact release date for Portal with RTX. The announcement was accompanied by a new video and a disclosure of the update’s system requirements.
Recall that Portal with RTX is a version of the iconic puzzle game Portal from Valve with support for ray tracing technology. Release expected throughout November of this yearbut will be slightly delayed.
As it became known, Portal with RTX will be released on December 8 and will be free for all owners in Steam the original edition of the game – it is sold for 38 rubles (-90%) as part of the ending autumn sale.
Portal with RTX will run on any graphics card that supports DirectX or Vulkan ray tracing, and more specific details can be found in the official system requirements:
Minimum requirements (1080p, 30 fps, high graphics settings)

- processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
- graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with DLSS 2.0;

- RAM: 32 GB;
- disk space: 25 GB (SSD).
As for the new video, it is designed to show the benefits of using NVIDIA DLSS 3 scaling in Portal with RTX (only on RTX 4000 series video cards) – an almost threefold (2.8) increase in performance.
Portal with RTX was developed on a modding platform RTX Remix and offers “enhanced with stunning ray tracing every frame of gameplay”handcrafted high quality textures and high poly models.
