Nivin is the only one in Malayalam cinema who has that kind of face and attitude: Roshan Andrews

Directed by Roshan Andrews, Saturday Night is the latest film to hit the theaters. Roshan Andrews talks regarding choosing Nivin Pauly to play the central character Stanley in the film.

Roshan Andrews says that the main reason for reaching Nivin was to play the character of a person whose face and expression would not affect him even if the earth collapsed.

He added that only Nivin Pauly has that kind of face and attitude in Malayalam cinema. He said that the abnormality of the character can also be found in Nivin. Roshan Andrews was speaking in an interview given to UBLTV.

‘I wanted a face that looked like no matter what happened in the world. Even if the earth collapses, he will not be affected. Such a person was needed.

A dudesim was needed. He is the only one who has that in Malayalam cinema. You have such a face and attitude. The character needed an abnormality and that’s what Nivin was chosen for.

You can answer such questions as a lie if you want. If you want to say that I wanted Nivin Pauly a lot. But I said the truth,’ said Roshan Andrews.

‘Terrible’ was Nivin’s reply to Roshan Andrews’s words with a laugh.

Saturday Night hit theaters on November 4. Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Siju Wilson, Grace Antony and Saniya Iyyappan played the lead roles in the film.

The story of the film was told in the background of the relationship between four friends and all the problems that arise between them.
