Saudi Arabia is considering submitting a bid to organize the 2030 World Cup in partnership with two countries

The British newspaper The Times had indicated in September that the kingdom was likely to submit a joint bid with Egypt and Greece to organize the FIFA World Cup, according to an undisclosed source.

It is noteworthy that the next tournament for the 2026 World Cup will have a special character, as it is the first edition of the competition to be organized in 3 countries, and it is also considered the first tournament that will witness the participation of 48 teams instead of 32.

This will be the first World Cup tournament since 2002 to be hosted by more than one country, and the first with the participation of more than two countries.

The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and thus will be the first tournament to be held in 3 different countries.
